The challenge

Small-town depot, big-town competition

Spruce Grove Bottle Depot is the only family-run recycling depot in Spruce Grove proper, but the search market wasn't reflecting that. Searches for “bottle depot spruce grove” and “bottle drive spruce grove” were dominated by Edmonton-area chains and DepotDash-style pickup apps.

The depot's real value — convenient drop-off, friendly staff, charity-backed bottle drives for local schools and sports teams — wasn't showing up where the Spruce Grove community searched for it.
